Cool Down Rewind’ features a gentle guitar riff and a pleasantly sung story of pausing to appreciate life’s little indescribables which so often pass us by. Hardly groundbreaking subject matter, but no matter. The second track, If You Can’t Make Me Happy’ has a country/folk barn dancing twang to it and a head bobbing ahooo’ from the backing singers. It’s an up tempo number in the chorus and you wouldn’t be mistaken for likening the sound for that of a country singer, complete with suitable vocal inflection.Butterflies’ goes back to the slower welltrodden croon of track one telling a tale of a loved one walking away. The guitar is backed up by violin and piano and seems slightly soppy a bit toothless in comparison to its predecessor.Spider’ uses an electronic keyboard and melodic vocals with a touch of the blues The riff is catchy and the lyrics engaging A more aggressive chorus again employs female backing singers Upbeat, foot tapping and jazzy, surely it’s the path she should follow more Shine All Your Light’s’ double bass gives back into basement jazz club origins with a softer, slower feel.
